Who we are
njX Store Monitoring & Uptime is operated by njX, an independent developer. Contact: [email protected].
What the app does
It walks your public storefront the way a shopper does — the home page, a product page, Add to Cart, the checkout page — on a schedule, checks your watched products and the pages a customer can land on, keeps a timeline of what changed in the store, and sends alerts, a daily products note and a weekly report to the recipients you connect. It never writes to your store and never places an order.
What the app reads in your store (all read-only)
- Products (
read_products): titles, handles, variants, prices, pictures, stock flags, collections and tags — to pick the sensor products and check the watched ones. - Orders (
read_orders): the time, the currency and the total of a new order, counted per hour of the week — to know your usual orders. No customer field is read or kept: no name, e-mail, address or phone. Protected customer data Level 1. - Checkouts (
read_checkouts): that a checkout was started and when — to see checkouts that do not turn into orders. - Themes (
read_themes): which theme is published and when it changes — for the timeline and the causes. - Shipping and markets (
read_shipping,read_markets): that a shipping profile or a market changed — for the timeline and the causes. - Nothing is written. The app has no write permission of any kind.
What the app does on your storefront
- The checks visit your public storefront like a shopper: the home page, a product page, Add to Cart, the checkout page. The test cart lives in the cookies of our own request and disappears with it; the checks stop before any payment step. Your stock, reports and analytics see a visit, not a sale.
- On Pro and Business a real browser presses Add to Cart on a sensor product once in a while. It adds one item to its own cart and is closed with it, with the common analytics and ad pixels blocked.
- From the home page the app notes the hosts of third-party scripts and the app embeds, to tell you when one appears or disappears. No other content of a page is kept beyond a short piece of evidence (at most 2 KB) when a step fails.
- Your storefront password, if you give it to the app, is stored encrypted, used only to open your storefront for the checks, never shown again, and removed when you clear the field or uninstall.
Data we store
- A copy of your catalogue — titles, handles, prices, stock flags; no customer data — while the app is installed.
- Our own records: the result of each check and its steps, the loads of your pages, the verdicts of the product checks, the changes of the timeline, the incidents and their causes, and the counts of orders and checkouts per hour of the week.
- Settings and recipients: what each recipient receives; the e-mail addresses, Slack and Discord webhook URLs and Telegram chat ids you add (stored encrypted and shown masked). An e-mail address receives nothing until its owner confirms it, and every message has a one-click unsubscribe.
- Logs: which message went where and when, and messages you send through the support form.
How your numbers are used
- Everything the app reads is used for your store only: to check it, to build your timeline and your alerts.
- It is never sold or shared, never compared with other stores, and never used to train machine-learning or AI models.
- We keep a small amount of anonymous operational telemetry — how long a check took, which step failed, which rule fired — identified by shop domain and used to keep the app healthy.
How long we keep it
- Checks (the result of each step, its time, a short piece of evidence): 30 days; daily totals: one year.
- Pages (each load: the response code, its time, the size): 7 days; daily totals per page: 90 days. The certificate of your domain: the last reading only.
- Product checks: 7 days; the current verdict stays with the product. Changes of the timeline: 90 days. Incidents: one year. Orders and checkouts: counts per hour of the week only, over the last 8 weeks.
- Delivery log: 90 days. Support messages: 12 months.
- Uninstalling deletes everything about your store as soon as Shopify tells us — usually within minutes, always within 48 hours.
Where it runs
The app runs on Cloudflare (Workers, D1, Queues; Browser Rendering for the click and the browser recheck). A page that refuses our robot (429/403) may be read once more, within a daily count, through Bright Data’s Web Unlocker, a third party: only the page address is sent, never a cookie, your password or anything about your customers. E-mail is sent through Cloudflare Email Service; a backup provider (Resend) may deliver a message when the first one is unavailable. Messages to Telegram, Slack and Discord go through their own services under their own terms when you connect them.
Your rights
You can see, change and delete everything the app holds about your store from inside the app (Data & access), and uninstalling deletes it all. Questions and requests: [email protected].
