Terms of Service

The service
njX Competitor Price Watch (“the app”) is provided by njX (“we”). It reads the competitor product pages you paste, keeps their prices next to yours, and delivers alerts, a daily digest and a weekly report to the channels you connect. It never writes to your store.
What the app reads, and what it does not promise
- The app reads only the pages you paste, a few times a day, with a named user agent, respecting robots.txt, never logging in or filling forms. You are responsible for choosing pages you are allowed to view publicly and for how you use the prices you see.
- A price is what the page said when it was read. Pages change, show different prices to different visitors, or refuse automated readers; we cannot promise that every page is readable, that every reading is current, or that a gap is exact. The row says when it was read and through which reader; a page that could not be read says why.
- The app does not find competitors, does not change your prices and gives no pricing advice. You decide what to do with what you see.
- Showing competitor prices on your own storefront is not part of this app; if you publish prices you read with it, the responsibility for their accuracy and for local advertising law is yours.
- Alerts depend on Telegram, Slack, Discord or e-mail; we retry failed deliveries but cannot promise that every message arrives on time.
Your account and your data
- You must have the right to install apps on the store and to share its prices with the channels you connect.
- You remain the controller of your data. We act as your processor: we process it only to provide the app to you. The app has no access to orders or customers and no permission to write to your store.
- Your prices, and the prices read for you, are not sold, not shared, not shown to the sites you watch, and not used to train models.
- We process data on Cloudflare (hosting, browser rendering and e-mail) and deliver messages through Telegram, Slack and Discord when you connect them, each under its own terms.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything we hold about your store.
- We keep the app secure as described in the privacy policy and notify you within 72 hours of confirming a security incident that affects your data.
Plans and billing
Plans are billed by Shopify under the Shopify App Store terms and appear on your Shopify invoice. Paid plans start with a free trial and can be paid monthly or yearly. You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel from the Shopify admin at any time; the Free plan has no time limit. Moving down a plan pauses the newest links beyond the new limit and deletes nothing.
Acceptable use
Add only pages you may view publicly and only channels whose members should see the prices. Do not use the app to circumvent a site’s terms, robots.txt or access controls, to read anything but product pages, or to extract data at a rate the app does not offer. We may suspend an installation that abuses the service or that a site owner asks us to stop reading.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; material changes are announced in the app’s changelog. Questions: [email protected].
