Shopify app · discounts and prices

A 90% discount instead of 9% should not be found by customers first.

Prices and discounts in a shop are changed by people and by apps. Shopify tells nobody when one of them is wrong. This app keeps a snapshot of yours, watches every change and writes to the chat your team already reads — usually within a minute.

Two stories every shop knows

One keystroke. One forgotten switch.

90% instead of 9%

What happens
On Thursday evening the code for the newsletter is typed in a hurry: 90 where 9 was meant. Shopify saves it without a word, and the newsletter goes out.
Without the app
Orders arrive at a tenth of the price. Somebody notices on Friday morning, in the order list or from a customer who asks whether it is real.
With the app
A red alert lands in the chat your team reads, usually within a minute of the save, with a button that opens the discount in Shopify. And when 70% really is the plan, you confirm it once: 70% stays silent, 97% still alerts.
🔴 Discount of 90% — “NEWS9”

We flag discounts of 50% or more. Check it is not a typo before customers find it.

The sale ended. The discount did not.

What happens
Black Friday ends on Monday. The main discount ends by its date. The extra code made on Friday for a partner has no end date, and fourteen products still say “was $80”.
Without the app
The code keeps working for as long as nobody looks. The crossed-out prices stay for weeks: a sale that never ends is no longer a sale, and in the EU an old reference price is a legal risk.
With the app
A quarter of an hour after the promo ends you get the cleanup report: every code, automatic discount and crossed-out price the promo left behind, by name. The Monday report reminds you of what is still open.
🧹 Promo ended — what was left behind: “Black Friday”

2 codes with no end date · 1 automatic discount still active · 14 products still show a compare-at price.

What it does

What it watches, and what it tells you.

A discount is checked before customers find it

The moment you save a code or an automatic discount, the app reads it: 90% where you meant 9%, a fixed amount larger than the products it applies to, a code with neither an end date nor a usage limit, two automatic discounts that stack. The alert arrives while the sale is still yours to fix.

Prices watched around the clock

A price that became 0, a price cut in half, a compare-at price that no longer crosses anything out, a product taken off sale or deleted. It does not matter who did it — you, a teammate, an agency or a supplier feed.

Someone has to own the day the sale ends

The morning after a promo you get the cleanup report: codes without an end date that are still live, automatic discounts still running, products still showing last week’s compare-at price. Every shop has this list after Black Friday; almost nobody has it written down.

A leaked code, caught in the hour

The app samples how often each running code is used. When the last hour is far above that code’s usual pace, you hear about it — that is what a code posted on a coupon site looks like from the inside.

Confirm the plan, hear only the difference

A 70% discount on Black Friday is not a mistake if you planned it. Confirm the discount once as it is — value, dates, limit, conditions — and from then on it is compared with your plan, not with a general threshold: 70% stays silent, 97% is a red alert, a moved end date is a yellow one.

What each promo brought

From the lines of paid orders: how many orders used the promo, what they brought, how much discount was given. On Pro also the gross profit after your cost per item — the number that says whether the sale was worth it.

Where your team already reads

Telegram, Slack, Discord or e-mail, several at once, each with its own level. Plus one daily digest of everything that changed — and “All quiet” on the days nothing did.

A Monday report that shows the watch was kept

What stood under watch, what changed, what was caught and how fast it was fixed, what your promos brought, and which discounts start or end in the next seven days. In a week when nothing went wrong, it says exactly that.

It reads, it never writes

Products, discounts and the lines of paid orders: product, quantity, price, discount. No customer data, nothing to change in your store. An alert links straight into the Shopify admin, where you fix it yourself.

Why it is worth watching

The mistakes are ordinary. The bill is not.

90% instead of 9%one keystroke in a discount on the busiest day of the year; every order that follows is sold at a loss until someone notices
$0.00what a broken supplier feed or a bulk edit leaves in the price field — the shop keeps selling, checkout keeps working
hourshow long such a mistake usually lives, because nothing in Shopify says a word about it — merchants find out from a customer or from the invoice

Shopify’s activity log shows changes after the fact and never alerts; Flow has no trigger for a price change or for a discount that expired. This app exists to fill exactly that gap — it watches your own store, not your competitors’.

How it works

Watching from the first minute.

01

Install from the Shopify App Store

No account to create. The app asks to read products, discounts and the lines of paid orders — never your customers. It takes a snapshot of your prices and discounts, and that first check never sends alerts: what is already wrong is shown in the app, not pushed at you.

02

Connect a channel

Telegram in two clicks, Slack with “Add to Slack”, a Discord webhook, or an e-mail address that its owner confirms. Every new channel gets an example alert the moment it is connected, so you know what one looks like before a real one arrives.

03

Carry on working

Change prices, run sales, let the agency edit the catalogue. You hear from the app only when something is wrong — and once a day, briefly, about everything else.

Is it for you?

We would rather you know now than after a month.

Works best for

  • Stores where more than one person or app touches the catalogue: a team, a freelancer, an agency, a supplier feed, a bulk-price app.
  • Anyone who runs sales — Black Friday, seasonal promos, codes for e-mail campaigns and influencers.
  • Shops where a wrong price is expensive: high-ticket products, thin margins, or a lot of traffic at once.

Not a good fit

  • A shop of a dozen products run by one person who never discounts: there is nothing to watch.
  • Anyone expecting the app to fix things: it only tells you, in v1 it never writes to the store.
  • Anyone who needs the name of the person who made a change: Shopify does not give that to apps.

By design the app changes nothing in your store, does not watch competitors’ prices, does not repricing anything for you, and does not claim to know who made a change — Shopify does not tell apps that.

Questions

How fast does an alert arrive?

Price and discount changes come to us as Shopify webhooks, so an alert usually lands within a minute of the change. Use counts of running codes are sampled every 15 minutes, which is what the leaked-code and “nobody has used it yet” checks are built on. Once a night the whole catalogue is read again, so a change that never reached us is still found.

Can you tell me who changed the price?

No. Shopify tells apps what changed and when, never who. The admin’s own activity log is where the person’s name lives. We would rather say this plainly than imply we know.

Will it flood me with messages?

Each problem is opened once and sent once. While it is open, the same problem for the same product or discount is never sent again, and it closes by itself when you fix it — the price goes back, the code is switched off. Stock changes are ignored on purpose, and everything informational goes to the daily digest instead of your chat.

What do you consider “wrong”?

By default: a discount of 50% or more; a fixed amount larger than the average price of what it applies to; a code with no end date and no usage limit; two stacking automatic discounts at once; a price at 0 or down by 50%; a price moved by 20% either way; a compare-at price that is not above the price; a product taken off sale or deleted; a code used far above its usual pace. On Pro every one of those thresholds is yours to change, and any rule can be switched off.

Is my customers’ data stored?

No. From a paid order the app keeps the lines only: product, quantity, price and what each discount took off, so Results can say what a promo brought. Names, e-mails, addresses and phone numbers never reach us; we request no customer fields from Shopify. There is nothing about your customers for us to store, lose or be asked about.

We run deep discounts on purpose. Will it alert every time?

No. Open the discount in Promos and confirm it as the plan: its value, dates, usage limit and conditions as they are now. From then on this discount is compared with what you confirmed instead of the general thresholds, so the 70% you planned stays silent. If someone later changes it to 97%, removes the end date or lifts the limit, you get an alert that names the field, what it was and what it is.

What is in the Monday report?

What stood under watch, how many changes we saw, which promos started and ended, what was caught and how long it stayed open, what your promos brought in paid orders, and which discounts start or end in the next seven days. In a week when nothing went wrong it says so. You can see it at any time on the home screen of the app, built from the real numbers of your store.

What is the cleanup report?

The morning after a discount ends, the app lists what the promo left behind: codes created during it that have no end date, automatic discounts still active, and products whose compare-at price was set during the sale and still sits above the price. Changes made before you installed the app are invisible to us, and the report says so.

What does each plan include?

Free: every rule checked, everything visible in the app, the daily digest and the cleanup report, one channel, up to 10 instant red alerts a month, seven days of history. Pro $9: instant alerts without a limit, yellow alerts too, up to 10 channels, your own thresholds, 90 days of history with CSV export, and the cleanup report sent to a channel. Pro starts with 14 free days and is billed by Shopify.

My store has more than 2,000 variants.

Free watches the first 2,000 and says so plainly on the home screen — discounts are always watched in full. Pro watches every variant.
