Who we are
njX Delivery Date & Countdown is operated by njX, an independent developer. Contact: [email protected].
What the app does
It reads your shipping settings and prepares the rules your storefront uses to show a cut-off countdown and an estimated delivery date; writes those rules to one metafield of your store; keeps a log of the day each order was promised to ship and how it ended; and tells the channels you connect, the morning after, when orders promised to ship on a day were not fulfilled.
What the app reads in your store
- Shipping (
read_shipping): delivery profiles, shipping zones and countries, rates and free-shipping thresholds, the processing time, and the store’s time zone and country. - Markets (
read_markets): on stores with market-driven shipping, the countries of each market, its shipping options with their free-shipping thresholds and the transit estimates of the rates. Nothing is written to markets. - Orders (
read_orders, Level 1 protected customer data: shipping country and dates): for the promise log only — the order number, the shipping country and the date and time of the order. Orders without a shipping address (pickup, digital) are not logged. - Fulfilments (
read_fulfillments): the date and time an order was fulfilled. - No customer data. The app does not read or store customers’ names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers or street addresses.
What the app writes to your store
- One app-owned metafield holding your delivery rules: the cut-off by day, processing time, countries with transit days and free-shipping thresholds, days off and four phrases. The storefront script reads it in the shopper’s browser; it contains no customer data.
- Nothing is written to products, orders, customers or the theme. The app embed and the block appear in your theme only when you switch them on in the theme editor.
Data we store
- Settings (cut-offs, transit days, days off, texts): the rules above, the holidays chosen for each country and your own days off, and a history of the rules in force when each order was placed (a hash and a copy), so that the log explains itself.
- The promise log: per order — the order number, shipping country, the dates of the order and of its fulfilment, the ship day and window promised, the cut-off in force, and the status (open, kept, late, missed, cancelled).
- Channels: the e-mail addresses, Slack and Discord webhook URLs and Telegram chat ids you add, and the token of a Slack workspace connected with “Add to Slack” (a bot that can post messages and see channel names, never read messages) — all stored encrypted and shown masked. An e-mail address receives nothing until its owner confirms it, and every message has a one-click unsubscribe.
- Logs: which message went where and when (without its content), and messages you send through the support form.
Where holidays come from
Public holidays come from a table built into the app for ten countries (US, CA, GB, DE, FR, IT, ES, NL, PL, AU). No third-party holiday service is called.
How your data is used
- Everything the app reads is used for your store only: to count the date, to keep the log and to send the alerts you asked for.
- It is never sold or shared, never compared with other stores, and never used to train machine-learning or AI models.
- We keep a small amount of anonymous operational telemetry — which job ran, whether it succeeded — identified by shop domain and used to keep the app healthy.
How long we keep it
- The promise log: 7 days on Free, 90 days on Pro. Rows older than that are deleted.
- Settings and the history of rules: while the app is installed.
- Delivery log (which message went where): 90 days. Support messages: 12 months.
- Uninstalling deletes everything about your store as soon as Shopify tells us: usually within minutes, always within 48 hours.
Where it runs
The app runs on Cloudflare (Workers, D1). E-mail is sent through Cloudflare Email Service; a backup provider (Resend) may deliver a message when the first one is unavailable. Messages to Telegram, Slack and Discord go through their own services under their own terms when you connect them.
Your rights
You can see, change and delete what the app holds about your store from inside the app (Data & access), and uninstalling deletes it all. Questions and requests: [email protected].
