Common questions
- The batch card has not arrived yet: a batch closes a minute after the last change in it and the card goes out within the next five minutes — up to six minutes after an import ends. Open Changes meanwhile: the rows are there as they come.
- The restore skipped some rows: the preview and the report name the reason on each: “changed after the preview” (the value moved since you looked — build the preview again), “needs Pro” or “needs Business” (the field is above your plan; the rest was written), “not in this version” (alt text, option values, publication, a removed metafield, a smart collection — shown, never written).
- A product has no history: every plan starts at the moment of installation — nothing before it can be known. Right after install the catalogue is still being read for a minute or two; a banner says so.
- The description came back but the pictures did not: the app never recreates a removed picture; it shows what it was so you can upload it again. The order of pictures that still exist goes back on Business.
- “Who did this?”: Shopify tells apps what changed and when, never who. The source on a row — the app, probably an import — is a guess from timing and shape; the admin’s own activity log has the person’s name.
- An alert did not arrive: open Channels and check that the channel is on (an e-mail must be confirmed) and has alerts ticked; Send test proves the way. On Free the daily digest goes to e-mail only on days when something changed.
- Upgrade or cancel: Manage plan in the app opens Shopify’s plan page; billing is on your Shopify invoice. Moving down locks the older history and pauses what is beyond the new limit; nothing is deleted.
