Install

Guide

Getting started

Nine short steps. The first three take about ten minutes; the rest you can read when you need them.

1. Install the app

Open EU Omnibus, Withdrawal & GPSR in the Shopify App Store and click Install. There is no account to create. The app reads your products and prices, writes its own metafields, reads order dates to match a withdrawal request by its number (Level 1 protected customer data, no customer fields) and owns one metaobject definition, Manufacturer. The catalogue is read right after install; the price history starts there.

2. Home: get set up

Home lists three steps: put the blocks on your store, enter your manufacturer, add a recipient. The tiles count the three rules; “Your blocks, live” draws the Lowest price block with the real storefront script, on a discount of your store or on an example, with the safety details and the withdrawal link under it. “Latest” lists the requests and the reductions the app saw.

3. The blocks in the theme editor

Step 1 opens the theme editor on your current theme. Product template → Add block → Lowest price (EU) under the price, and Product safety lower down; App embeds → Withdrawal link (EU) (the link itself reads “Withdraw from contract here”) → on → Save. The Lowest price block has settings for the wording, the behaviour while the history is young, size and alignment, and on Pro the EU-only switch and the price history link. The embed sits in the footer or floats at an edge; a Withdrawal button block can go on the product page too. Back on Home, press “I turned them on”.

4. Prices: what the store shows under a discount

Every variant whose compare-at price is above its price, with the prior price the store shows: the lowest price of the 30 days before the reduction, from what the app observed. Covered means the store shows it; Fewer than 30 days means the history is younger than the reduction needs — the block shows nothing or “Lowest price since <date>”, as you choose below the table; No prior yet means the computation has not run (Recompute now). “What counts as a reduction”: a compare-at above the price (the law's case) or any price drop.

5. The request page and Withdrawals

A customer presses Withdraw from contract here, fills in name, e-mail, order number and what they return, confirms, and gets the request number and the acknowledgement e-mail with the content, date and time. In Withdrawals the request shows the order matched by its number (among the orders of the last 60 days) or “not found”; you set the status (new, accepted, refunded, rejected) and a note; the e-mail is masked and revealed by row, every reveal logged. The settings card holds the path of the request page, your Reply-To, and on Pro your own text and logo.

6. Safety info: manufacturer, responsible person, warnings

Add a manufacturer: name, postal address, e-mail, website; outside the EU asks for the responsible person. The first one becomes the default and covers every product without its own; others are assigned by picked products, or by vendor and collection on Pro. Warnings and the model are written per product. The Product safety block prints it all; a product without a manufacturer prints nothing.

Safety info: coverage tiles, the manufacturers with the default starred, the form, and assignment by product, vendor or collection

7. Recipients

Telegram gives a link for yourself and one for a group; Slack takes Add to Slack or a webhook URL; Discord a webhook URL; an e-mail address receives nothing until its owner confirms it. Every chat gets a Connected message with an example request, then every real request as one card with the first name and initial, the order number and what is returned — never the e-mail. A weekly digest and a few notices (a manufacturer missing, the history still young) go there too.

8. Free or Pro

Free covers the three rules: the 30-day low on every product, the withdrawal button, page and acknowledgement, manufacturer and warnings with one default, one recipient, 90 days of requests in the app. Pro adds the price history chart on the product page, assignment by vendor or collection, your own text and logo in the acknowledgement, blocks for EU shoppers only, up to 10 recipients, two years of requests and CSV, with a 14-day trial. Manage plan opens Shopify's plan page; moving down deletes nothing.

9. Stop or change anything

Remove a block or switch the embed off in the theme editor and it disappears at once. Switch a recipient off, or use the one-click unsubscribe in any e-mail. Uninstalling the app deletes everything we hold about your store, the requests included — export them first if you need the record; Shopify removes the app's metafields and the metaobject definition.
